Road to the future
The world is constantly evolving. New systems, software and tools help make work and everyday life simpler and more continuous. This is exactly what the digital twin is meant to do: make everyday operations smoother and support continuous development.
What is a digital twin?
A digital twin is a digital, virtual copy of a physical object. It combines the accuracy of 3D models with the visual richness of high-resolution panoramic images to give a precise picture of every detail.
Thanks to this 3D visualisation technology, changes during construction can be tracked and traced even after the building has been handed over.
The strength of the digital twin is that you do not have to be on site live to access the details and data. With one click, from anywhere, you can review the location — especially if the twin is kept up to date.
How does this work?
Every detail of the works in progress is photographed, digitised and enriched with data, then uploaded into a customised system, and a user CAFM interface is created.
CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management) helps keep facility operations under control. If a piece of equipment is hard to locate, the digital twin can provide the information quickly.
